AIRBUGGY FOR PET

AIRBUGGY FOR PET

FAQ

Before purchase

  • Q

I have a Toy Poodle and a Miniature Dachshund. Which size is best?

While it also depends on the weight of the dog, the DOME SM and M sizes are recommended. If both dogs are to be in contact, select the SM size. If use will frequently be in summer, or if blankets are to be used in winter, the slightly more expansive M size may be best.

  • Q

I’m confused about the brake model and the standard model. What are the advantages of the brake model?

The brake model is fitted with an easily operated handbrake, and has the advantage of being able to control speed under bad road conditions such as downward slopes and on rainy days. The width of the frame is less on the brake model, allowing you to pass through narrow passages.

  • Q

I’m worried that the stroller will be an obstruction in the entrance of the house. Can it be stored outside?

All models can be folded. See here for sizes when folded. The cot in the DOME Series can be removed and used as a bed or dog house inside. If stored outside, it should be protected from wind, rain, and sun with a cover if possible.

  • Q

When should I use the stroller?

When taking your dog out in public (e.g. public transport, commercial premises), the dog lover will place it in a carry bag or stroller to avoid annoyance to others. When on busy streets with high traffic volumes, or to avoid hot asphalt in summer, place your dog in the stroller to reach your destination in safety. Customers are increasingly using the stroller to take their dog to the vet when it is sick or injured, or to prevent contact with other dogs.

  • Q

How does the AirBuggy for Dog differ from strollers from other manufacturers?

The AirBuggy for Pet is characterized by the excellent maneuverability with the 3-wheel configuration, and the shock-absorbing pneumatic tires. Asphalt roads in urban areas are very uneven, with many steps and bumps, and destinations are often grassed areas in parks and shingle roads.
Vibration and shocks experienced on rough roads generally increase with the number of wheels, and are amplified as the wheels become smaller. The AirBuggy for Dog has three points in ground contact to minimize play and ensure stability, and the pneumatic tires absorb vibration and shocks to provide your pet with a comfortable ride.
The wheel bearings reduce running friction, to the extent that the stroller moves to the touch, rather than to the push, as if on an air cushion. This low-friction ride enhances the pleasure of pushing your dog.

  • Q

    I’d like to see one.

  • Q

Is it OK for large dogs?

We have the NEST for large dogs. It has a maximum load of 45 kg. See here for sizes.

Use

  • Q

    Folding the stroller seems difficult.

We have easily understood descriptive videos. See them here.

  • Q

Can I put my dog in the basket at the bottom of the DOME Series frame?

The basket is designed for baggage, and may be damaged if it is used for the dog. The dog may be injured if placed in the basket. Not recommended.

  • Q

I’m worried that my dog may suffer heatstroke in the stroller on a hot day.

Use over long periods in the heat of summer should be avoided. If this is not possible, it is advisable to check the condition of your dog frequently, and use cool-packs to lower the temperature in the stroller. Wrap cool-packs in a towel to ensure that they are not in direct contact with your dog.

  • Q

What is the maximum time I can have my dog in the stroller?

This depends on the season and ambient temperature, however continuous use over a long period of time will subject your dog to stress. Limit time in the stroller to an hour as a general rule.

  • Q

Can I use it in the rain?

A special rain cover is available for each model as an option.

  • Q

I would like to replace my existing cot with a larger size. Do I need to buy the frame as well?

All strollers in the DOME Series use the same frame, and there is therefore no need to buy a new one. Note that there are two different adapters for mounting the cot in the S and SM/M sizes.

  • Q

Can the stroller be used at night?

The stroller is fitted with reflective tape to reflect light sources, however proper care and safety is required at night.

Movement

  • Q

Can I take the stroller on the bus or train?

Public transport organizations differ in their policies on this point, and it is therefore recommended that you check at the information desk beforehand.

  • Q

Can I take the stroller into restaurants and commercial premises?

Policies vary with each establishment, and it is therefore recommended that you check beforehand.

  • Q

Can I take the stroller on escalators?

This is very dangerous – the stroller may tip over in such situations. Do not use on escalators.

Maintenance

  • Q

An air pump is provided. Do I have to inflate the tires every day?

The need to inflate the tires varies with frequency of use and the environment the stroller is used in, however a general guideline is once per month. Check tire pressure before use by pressing each tire lightly with the finger.

  • Q

Can I use my bicycle air pump?

The tires on the stroller use US valves. Use your pump as described if it has the US valve. Note that when using a compressor, pumping up the tires too much may burst the tubes. Do not use a compressor.

  • Q

What should I do if I get a puncture?
